Vinogradi Nuić

The history of Vinogradi Nuić began in 2004, when the extremely beautiful location of Orlovac was cultivated. Diligent hands worked on the karst terra rossa and more than 30,000 vines were planted on an area of ​​7 ha. In addition to the autochthonous Herzegovinian varieties Žilavka, Blatina and Trnjak, Bena and Krkošija are also planted there, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet and Plavac Mali.

In early 2008, three wines were placed on the market: Žilavka, Blatina and Blatina Barrique. This same year, the Duglaza site, located halfway between the villages of Crnopod and Međugorje, was cultivated with the help of the “Trencor” backhoe. This site is located in a lowland surrounded by fairy-tale hills, through which the bora from Velež passes and dries the stone from the morning dew, reducing the need for pesticides.

In 2009, 7 ha of vineyards were planted on Dugolaz, and in 2010 another 21 ha. In addition to the existing varieties, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Touriga Nacional were planted there for the first time, as well as Pošip from Korčula among the white varieties.
